Your Sensitive Shadow Archetype is The Overwhelmed One

The Overwhelmed One: You may be the type of person who has big dreams and lots of beautiful ideas. You’re flowy, gentle, and easily excitable. Your shadow side is the fact that you tend to feel frazzled and overwhelmed quite easily. It’s not uncommon for you to feel dysregulated and you get to a breaking point quickly when you feel like you have too much to do because it just feels like too much to handle!
This may result in:
- A lack of action-taking in your life because you get so overwhelmed that you don’t know what to do next, so you do nothing
- Often feeling on edge and impatient because you’re chronically overstimulated. It feels like you can be set off so easily sometimes!Â
- A general feeling of anxiety because you always feel like you have SO much to do, yet it feels impossible to prioritize and think clearly about any of it

How To Move Forward & Heal Your Shadow (quick recap!)
First & foremost, it's important for you to have go-to practices to regulate your nervous system like EFT tapping, meditation, VOO breathing, yoga, etc. You need to know how to create flexibility in your nervous system so that you don't get stuck in a state of dysregulation and overwhelm.
If you get overwhelmed really easily, it's important that you have ways to create more groundedness in your life so that you can stay calm amidst the chaos instead of feeling swept up and matching the energy of what's happening around you.
You also need to assert your needs – whether that’s needing more time for projects, getting plenty of rest, or having downtime after work to decompress, it's your responsibility to let others know where you're at and how you're feeling so that you aren't constantly overloading yourself with more.
In order to assert your needs, you probably need to work on feeling WORTHY of expressing yourself because it might feel uncomfortable when you’re used to just doing what everyone tells you to do without questioning it, right? Low self-worth is actually a MASSIVE (and overlooked!) contributor to overwhelm because if you’re overdoing it to gain love and attention, or if you don’t feel worthy of speaking up for your needs (maybe you’re afraid of being rejected for it!), then you’ll continue in the cycle of overwhelm.
